I really wanna write Black Sails meta. Like, desperately.

I’m afraid it must be annoying for y’all to see me making all these vague posts that end in “well, guess i’ll write this up at some point” and then the meta never coming but I just want my opinions to be as rock solid as possible before sending them out into the world unsheltered.

That being said, I might write up a little something soon-ish bc I think it’s kind of fun, if inconsequential...

#and by ‘kind of fun’ I mean it’s tragic and upsetting but like. that’s just The Whole Show so lmaoooo #there are worse things is what I’m saying #but yeah idk i guess I’ve just never seen anyone else mention this one bit and I think it’s really interesting #actually multiple Bits...#and I Might get to talk about mimesis just a tiny tad... as a treat...#additionally I wrote out a note during the last ep I watched that could probably become a post all by itself without much editing #but like. I wanna recheck a couple things bc I feel like I’m relying on memory too much for comfort #that’s kinda my Thing overall tbh... Like if I’m gonna proport to be ‘explaining’ through my interpretations - I’d better damn well have #my facts straight #which is what the notes are for but like... idk man.. I get paranoid lol #I just want my positions to be defensible bc I don’t think they’re particularly controversial but I haven’t seen anyone else like.#directly say them so yeah idk.. I’m trying to proceed with caution here #I honeslty don’t have many super strong opinions...#in attempting to empathize as hard as possible last rewatch - I seriously chilled out #I felt more exhausted than angry in the end #but yeah idk..
